Join this fun and creative art workshop where you will get all the knowledge necessary to create your very own Alcohol Ink illustrations on different sizes Yupo paper.
Explore limitless colours by creating your own palette. Integrate new substrates, new tools, along with mixatives, metallics and solutions. We will play through air, lift, resist, texture. Extend your work through mixed media. Learn to influence your art with the unique medium of alcohol ink.
The workshop runs for 5 hours and you will have plenty of time to get familiarized with the fluid and very colorful nature of alcohol ink.
What you will learn:

Knowledge and guidance to create your very own alcohol ink illustrations.

Knowledge of how to draw/doodle with posca pens on alcohol ink

A general knowledge of the basic alcohol ink principles.

Information about different Alcohol Ink brands and where to buy them
All materials are provided:

different alcohol ink colours
-
isopropyl alcohol
-
different sizes Yupo paper
-
Posca pens (for doodling)
-
protection for your artworks
-
rubber gloves
-
mask (if wanted)
-
sneaks, lunch and drinks are provided.
At the end of the workshop you get to take all of your artworks with you home.
What to wear:

Wear old clothes – long sleeves and pants - alcohol ink can get messy and it does not wash off easily.

This workshop is for all levels and ages– however be mindful that the isopropyl alcohol does give off some strong fumes

I cover safety and setup and I would not have stayed with these inks if I could not work with them without the risks.

Optional - Resin your artwork !
At the end you have the opportunity to resin one of your artwork.
Resin is a chemical which comes in two components , resin and hardener , when mixed together hardens to create a glass finish on the surface . It creates waterproof , beautiful epoxy glass like surface.
Resin can be used simply to make a transparent clear film over any painting , wood decor, furniture , to make it shiny and waterproof or by mixing pigments of variety of colours it can create abstract paintings, trays , jewellery.
Given the cost of the resin the price depends on the size of your artwork.
We will also need an additional 2h.
As a guideline :
- 18/24cm - 100 CHF
- 20/20cm - 100 CHF
- A4 size - 150 CHF
If you take this option keep in mind that the resin needs at least 1 day for the hardening and drying process.
This implies that I have to send you the artwork.
